This bed originally had only foot edging, and whenever it rained hard, the mulch washed out the backside and scattered across the yard. To fix the issue, Boulder Landscapes LLC installed a natural boulder border, a dry creek bed with river rock, and French drains. The upgrades stopped the washouts, improved drainage, and gave the property a clean, long-lasting look.

Project Highlight – Middlesex Township, PA
This landscape project solved a hillside access challenge with custom-cut sandstone steps, framed and anchored by boulders to increase stability around the steps. River rock and low-maintenance plantings finish the look, providing a safe and natural transition up to the pool area while transforming the side yard into a functional and attractive feature of the property.

On this project in Middlesex Township, PA, we transformed a steep embankment into a functional and attractive landscape feature. Large natural boulders were strategically placed to stabilize the slope, prevent erosion, and create a permanent structure that blends seamlessly
with the property.
To complement the boulders, we added carefully selected shrubs, ornamental grasses, and accent plants that provide seasonal color and texture. The combination of stone and plantings not only enhances curb appeal but also ensures long-term durability with minimal maintenance.
